Chi Kung Training in the System

"Long Yi - The Dragon's Wings"

9d.png

With it’s roots in Taoist philosophy, “Long Yi” or: The Dragons Wings” is a chi kung system developed by Michalis Mourtzis MD (A.M.) through extensive study and practice in Taoism for over 20 years. This system was created, in order to cover the need for an approach that fits the rhythms of the modern lifestyle, without compromising the profound health benefits of the body, mind and spirit that exist in deeper and longer lasting trainings. This course offers a quick and effective way for practitioners to experience the mystery of the energy that surrounds and penetrates everything and to walk a path of self-awareness in harmony with the world and the Tao

Long Yi consists of 10 sequences that include gentle movement, breathing and meditation exercises, which offer a path of inner cultivation that promotes health, balance and a deeper connection with life.

At the same time, it is designed to prepare practitioners for higher levels of training in Tao awareness

Within the tradition of Taoism, chi kung (also spelled qigong) is one of the most important practices. The term “chi kung” means “energy work” or “skill in working with life force.” It combines gentle movements, breathing techniques, and mindful awareness to cultivate and balance chi, the vital energy that flows through the body

The basic concept behind chi kung is that health, vitality, and inner clarity depend on the free and balanced circulation of chi. When energy is blocked, weakness, illness, or emotional imbalance may arise. Through consistent practice, chi kung restores this natural flow, enhancing both physical well-being and spiritual awareness

Chi kung practices often involve standing postures, slow movements, and focused breathing. Unlike strenuous exercise, they are soft, relaxed, and accessible to people of all ages. At a deeper level, practitioners also train the mind to be calm, centered, and connected with the rhythms of nature. Ultimately, chi kung is more than exercise - it is a way of aligning body, breath, and spirit
